having shown at the New York United Nations Building, San Diego Museum of Art, and Museum of Photographic Arts in Balboa Park, The AjA Project’s exhibits have been viewed by 500,000 people from 2001 to 2006 in 3 countries. students arriving in San Diego from regions such as East Africa, Southeast Asia, Afghanistan, Colombia, and Iraq cultivate the ability to educate and develop mutual understanding with their community through art, as they share their stories and build confidence for the future.
